The rank and file are not happy. The top brass are not happy. Ignatieff is alienating everyone and progressive Liberals think it is time to clean house. Apparently the Ignatieff vs. Rae battle is only just beginning to show through the facade.

Are we being iffy about tax hikes?
Just before going out for dinner tonight I received this:
OTTAWA – Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff is gearing up to talk about tax hikes and cost-cutting to slay the country’s ballooning deficit. Senior party sources say it’s part of a politically risky `adult conversation’ he wants to have with Canadians about the painful measures necessary to deal with the debt.
At dinner, a parliamentary friend told me this was deliberate pre-positioning by the OLO. I was thrilled by this sudden – and unexpected – progressive turn from our not-so-progressive leader.
When I returned home from dinner this was waiting for me:
OTTAWA – Michael Ignatieff insisted Wednesday he has no plan to raise taxes, denying a report that he’s about to embark on a politically risky “adult conversation” with Canadians about the painful measures necessary to eliminate the country’s ballooning deficit.
May I politely ask: what the hell is going on and which inmate was running the asylum on Wednesday night? Seriously. Day-by-day we are losing our credibility because of self-inflicted wounds. It’s time to clean house.

And once again the Liberals turn on their leader, ensuring that we are going to have yet another Conservative government.
You have no idea what the plan is. You have no idea what the OLO and the Party are going to do next. You, sir, are the worst kind of political supporter, who turns on the leader and the party at the first sign of problems. You buy into the media and conservative spin, and listen to “anonymous senior party sources” who don’t have the guts to name themselves, and then complain when they prove to be wrong. How in the hell do you expect to win the next election when we can’t go 3 weeks with attacking the leader of our party.
Grow up, and shut up.
And people wonder why the Liberals have trouble staying cohesive when this is what the President of the Federal Liberal Riding Association for Pitt Meadows – Maple Ridge – Mission has to say?
“@nobodylikesiggy I am so sick and tired of supposed Liberals attacking their own publicly. Leave the party or shut the F*** up.”
